What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag?

What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag?

As you may (or may not) have noticed, I didn’t have a blog post last week. While I hated to miss a post, I was visiting Las Vegas, Nevada for a family trip! It was absolutely amazing! (Check back soon for a video of the trip!)

It turned out to be an awesome vacation but with a successful trip comes a lot of packing.

I dread the idea of packing and procrastinate it so much but after beginning, my inner organizing queen loves it and I find myself checking off a list of many items that I probably won’t even use.

As you can guess since this blog is partly dedicated to beauty, I absolutely love makeup. It’s part of my daily life and I have a collection that never seems to stop growing. With that being said, choosing makeup to pack for a trip is SO HARD.

Seriously.

But after a whole day of trying to decide which foundation is perfect and which palettes neeed to be left behind, I finally created the perfect little (or not so little) makeup bag!

Below you’ll find a list of which products I consider perfect to keep in my traveling makeup collection.

  1. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

This is perfect to hydrate the skin before applying make-up, especially when travling to a warme place than what my skin is used to such as Las Vegas. Since a little goes a long way and I only use a drop with each use I decided to only pack the sample size.

2. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation

You already know I love this one! It’s so perfect for summer-like days. Read my full thoughts and reviews on it here.

3. Tarte Maracuja Concealer

This is a really heavy duty concealer but its creaseless formula is a must have. The small packaging was also super appropriate for traveling.

4. Kylie Liquid Lipstick in Candy K and Leo (not pictured)

I originally only planned on bringing one lipstick but it was impossible to decide.

5. Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette

I wanted to bring a palette that wasn’t too bulky but still had all the essential color options (crease, brow bone, transition, and lid). This is a very warm palette but because that is what I typically use on a daily basis it was perfect for me.

6. IBY Beauty Highlight and Contour Kit

This little palette is so compact and travel friendly. I use the darker colors to contour and the lighter colors to set down my concealer.

7. Anastasia x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit (Not pictured)

This is my holy grail highlighter product. Nicole is one of my all-time favorite Youtubers so I will always support what she creates. BUT even without being biased, I love this glow kit and use it almost everyday.

8. Various Brushes & Tools

These are the brushes, and sponge that I use most often and thought I would get the most out of while traveling.
